Istituto Venezia: Italian Language School in Venice

The school is located in the centre of Venice, in a square well known by Venetians, «Campo Santa Margherita»: a meeting place for students and residents who do their shopping in the nice shops of the area or take a break chatting and drinking in the open-air cafés. An historic building with a wide terrace on the campo hosts the school.

Students from all over the world and of all ages participate in our Italian courses all year round. During the afternoon and the evening we run a social and cultural program to accompany the language courses.

Our teachers are always ready to help you, encourage you and comply with your learning method. They work as a team and arrange daily meetings. They regularly update their teaching material and discuss and compare different techniques of language teaching.

Students have free access to Internet/WIFI and a self-access study room with videofacilities.

Istituto Venezia is officially recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education.

• Asils (Association of Schools of Italian as a Second Language).

For many years, Istituto Venezia has been promoting and supporting the teaching of Italian as a foreign language:

• the school coordinates Venice International University courses of Italian for foreigners (V.I.U. is Università Ca' Foscari, Istituto Universitario di Architettura, Ludwig-Maximilians Universität-Munich, Tel Aviv University, Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, Waseda University Tokyo and Duke University Durham).
• it runs internships for the Postgraduate Teaching Program of Italian for Foreigners of Ca' Foscari University, Laboratorio Itals.
• it hosts Italian classes for the international association «Intercultura».
• it organizes study abroad programs of several American universities.
