Staying in a host family is the most effective way of supplementing the English learnt in the classroom and we warmly recommend that you take this option since it gives you invaluable speaking and listening practice, as well as the chance for cross-cultural exchange with an English person or family. Many of our students stay in contact with their host families after they leave the school, and remain firm friends in the future.

We choose our host families for their friendliness as well as the comfort and cleanliness of their homes, and they are regularly inspected by the school.

Service

When you arrive in Totnes, your host family will collect you from the coach or train station if possible and show you where to go to school in the morning, so you can relax in our lovely town, right from the beginning of your stay. Please remember to tell us when and how you are arriving!

We arrange:

• Comfortable half board standard and standard plus* accommodation with English families, mostly within walking distance of the school
• Full board accommodation for all teenagers (12-16 years) in shared rooms; single rooms are available on request and on payment of a supplement
• All adult rooms are single rooms (unless otherwise requested)
• Hotel, B & B and self-catering accommodation usually available if requested (early booking recommended for high season)
