French Course Program in Montreal

POINT3’s Intensive French Plus DELF / DALF Programs attract both international students and Canadians.

The number of students in a French class is an average of 6 students with a maximum of 10 students per class.

Intensive French Program

The Intensive French programs are geared towards improving your French language level by acknowledging your strengths and focusing on your weaker areas. These French classes are arranged into three distinct lessons that focus on French grammar, comprehension skills, and fluency in conversation for a total of 25 hours of French per week. The elements of the DELF / DAFL tests are integrated into the French program to get students focused on these tests.

On your first day, you are tested in all three of the following areas.

Grammar
This section includes French Grammar & Structure, Reading, Writing and Vocabulary Building. The primary focus of this section is accuracy to give you the building blocks necessary to improve your French language skills.

Comprehension Skills
This class includes Pronunciation, Idioms and Expressions, and Listening Comprehension skills. The focus is on helping you to develop your French comprehension skills using authentic dialogues taken from the real world.

Conversation
This French class is intended to help you develop your ability to express your ideas fluently in French. You are expected to participate fully so that you practice elements learned in accuracy class and comprehension class.

Based on the test results, you may be placed in a different level for each class, depending upon your abilities in each area.
